I just can't even with feminists.

Hey, I'm a girl.

I AIN'T NO FEMINIST HOMEBOY.

I'm what I call myself an gender equalist.

Is that a thing? I dunno, but it is now.

MEANING, I believe both genders should have equal rights. If men suddenly got paid lower than women, I wouldn't celebrate like feminists. I would say that it's stupid.

Um, anyway, I checked out an article called "So You Wanna Be A Male Feminist? Here Are 11 Simple Rules To Follow"

Oh here we go.

" Keep in mind that a feminist, as defined by Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, is a person who believes in the social, political and economic equality of the sexes (and various gender identities)"

Because that's why the word FEM is in it right? Google defines a feminist as a person who supports feminism.

FEMinism is not the belief in equality among genders. It is the belief of womens' rights.

Continue, you trash excuse of an article.

"1. Understand that women are leading the way and affirm their capable leadership. Don't assert yourself at the forefront."

Let's make another example. Say a straight man supports gay rights. During some speech, that straight man is about to speak, but the guy before him is gay and goes ,"Woah buddy, you sure you're gay?"

He repsonds with,"No but I support gay rights,"

The gay man shakes his head dissapprovingly and says,"See, us gay people can support ourselves. Let US do the heavylifting,"

SEE?

But really now, how dumb is that. A man can get up on that stage all he wnats and say that women should get (insert thing women need) without a female feminist getting all snappy for him being a MALE.

"

2. When it comes to issues that directly pertain to women's bodies and experiences, be quiet and listen.

For people who have penises and a male reproductive system, they will never know what it's like to have a period, go through menopause or bear children."

And? You can be a male and know a lot about the female anatomy. And what happened to your little definition of feminists? It's not fair to let a man be quiet because they're talking about female anatomy issues.

"3. Men don't get to determine if they are "allies" to the feminist movement. Women do."

This statement makes me want to shove a chicken up someone's throat. There is so many flaws with this statement.

Unless a man is saying this when he held up a freaking banner in a parade, he is MOST LIKELY an ally.

"It's not about getting "ally cookies" or a pat on the back every time you do something that's considered pro-feminism. Rather, it's about making sure your actions aren't sexist, transphobic or reinforcements of gender-based bigotry."

So are you, dear author, thinking men are in feminism to get a kiss on the cheek? A pat on the back? A tip o' the cap?

You little-

"4. Take responsibility for addressing men's issues with other men, rather than expecting women in feminism to do all of the work."

Oh, I thought you female feminists wanted to take the lead?

"5. Use your male privilege to encourage other men to work towards gender equality, under women's leadership."

WHY DID YOU EVEN?

EITHER LET MEN LEAD MALES OR NOT, HYPOCRITES.

"6. Don't use the label of "feminist" as a way to try to get women to like you — that's disingenuous and counterproductive."

6. Don't assume men only become feminists in order to get women, sexists :)

"7. When given opportunities to execute professional tasks related to feminist issues, consider referring other women instead."

More examples please!:

A student is about to give a speech about bullying and its harmmful ways and outcomes and why it's wrong.

Now, they haven't really been under that much bullying in their lifetime. An actual victim gets butthurt because they don't have the perspective.

Jesus Christmas.

8 is actually an okay reason, basically to educate ones' self about feminism history.

I can't understad 9.

"Ensure your feminism is intersectional."

A part of me thinks it kinda racist but I am truly ignorant in intersectionality.

"10. Acknowledge that sometimes, women need opportunities to discuss feminist issues without the presence of men. And that's okay."

"11. When women criticize your involvement in feminism, don't talk over them or talk down to them. Actively listen and be accountable."
