Ouran: The Merit Scene

I saw some comments on the merit scene. Two types:

"I wish Haruhi didn't make that smart comment." or "omigod! Yus kyoya x haruhi!"

or

"Why are people excited about this? This is assault!"

My thoughts? They're BOTH WRONG. First, even after this scene plays, it bothers me how people are going head over heels in a serious scene in Ouran like this . Yet, when people see Honey on his special,"three cake night",a scene meant to be a scary hilarious scene, people are like,"Honey-senpai is sooooo tsundere/scary!!"

Second, I saw an amazing blog on how the merit scene wasn't meant to show a dark side of Kyoya. Kyoya's intentions were to have Haruhi learn her lesson. Even though I said I disagreed with both parties, I feel this is more correct, and definitely more in maturity. It's understandable why they got a tad angry about this, since Kyoya's approach was more extreme, but that was the point!
